This was a rare event to have most of the guys in the family together at one location. It was Christmas 2013 and it was the first Christmas Christian had been home in three years. He had just gotten off the boat on the 22nd so he barely made Christmas Eve with the family. He had promised me he would be there. Little did we know this would be the first and the last Christmas that we would all be together at our house for Christmas Eve dinner…. This would be the last time most of my family would see Christian.
