Christian and Avery started dating soon after he transferred from Lamar to Northeast High School. She was the “good girl” and he was the “boy that mother’s and father’s don’t want their daughters to date”. But Avery’s mom and dad (Lori and Paul) loved Christian. Christian lucked up and Avery loved the outdoor stuff he liked to do. This picture was taken when they had not been dating for long. Christian was still trying to balance his time between his love for dirt bike racing and his first love. Avery and Christian went on to date for 5 years. Needless to say she put up with A LOT!! This is one of my favorite pictures of them.
Avery said her father Paul was with them along with her brother Kellan and her friends Rachel and Hannah Ivey. They were at the “beaver pond” which was about waist deep in water. Kellan and Paul made a bet with Christian that he wouldn’t ride his bike through the “pond”. Everyone who knows Christian knows he would never back down from a bet or dare….. so he went through the “pond”, flooded his engine but won the bet!! I’m sure he rubbed that in whenever he got a chance. 🙂
