Christian had only been working at Magnolia Marine two or three months when he called Todd all excited and said “I have found me a truck!” Anyone who knew Christian knows he liked loud, jacked up trucks with HUGE wheels. His favorite colors were silver and black. This truck had it all according to him. After dragging his dad and Alexa down to the dealership and taking a ride in it he called Mom. “What did I think about the interest rate? What should he do? He really wanted the truck? ….. Could he borrow some money for a down payment?” ….. 🙂 Like I didn’t see that one coming. Like the push over I was when it came to Christian I met him down at the dealership, told him the interest rate was too high, the truck cost too much, his monthly note was going to be too high……. and then co-signed with him on his first auto loan. He smiled for days. He made plans for all types of modifications to be done on the truck. He loved that truck. Everyone at Dalewood probably hated the truck because he installed a very loud air pressure operated train horn on the stupid thing and he would blow it at all times of the day and night waking up half of Dalewood. I could hear him coming a mile away with how loud the engine/muffler was. I would be in my room reading at night and hear that rumble and know Christian was almost home. Christian traded the truck in November 2013. I don’t really think he wanted to get rid of his truck but by this time he was becoming more practical and had outside influences pushing him for change.
And though he was proud of his jeep and we still have the jeep I will always remember Christian in that big grey monster of a truck rumbling down the road grinning from ear to ear when he ran up on some normal size car and scared them half to death with that horn blasting!!
