2017 gave us some good days as well as some bad but the constant “bright spot” throughout the year was Magnolia Son. Whether it was the School Kick Off shoe give away or the individual moments at the Crossings giving shoes to kids with limited resources or support we continued to always work to “do more”. We made our goal of providing 150 pair of shoes to children in need. It came down to the wire but on December 30th the 150th pair was delivered. We continue to set goals that at times may be out of reach but in true Christian fashion we are stubborn enough to think we can. We would like to thank all the people who purchased items from Magnolia Son because YOU made it possible to send high school athletes to camp, give away college scholarships and provide shoes to kids in need. We look forward to seeing all of you in 2018!!
“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.”

A few pictures from the year:
The idea that you, your family and Magnolia Son (et al) have undertaken such a momentous cause warms my heart like nothing has in a while. My give back moment is in the form of volunteering at a food bank, weekly. But I digress. The amplitude of your giving shines a very bright light on what was, when I finished your son’s story on Crime Watch, a troubling sadness. I guess what I’m trying to say, wordily, is thank you for all you do.
